WASHINGTON, PA, Nov. 21, 2024 — Spitfire Oversees (International Moni-Legal Lady) rode a sustained uncovered move in the slop to harness racing victory in Thursday’s feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $12,800 Conditioned Trot.
Spitfire Oversees was fourth down the backside when Anthony MacDonald sent him after the leader, Windsong Patriot, who was unpressured to that point. It took him until the top of the lane to do it, but Spitfire Oversees subdued Windsong Patriot and went on to score in 1:55. The pocketsitting Celebrity Bambino was second, beaten a length, while Windsong Patriot saved show.

Thursday’s card also brought unusual results in the second race, when 1-9 Bluebird Choir jumped it off, finished up the track and opened the door for long shots. One who stepped through was the 142-1 RT Wonder Pone. While she didn’t win for Kyle Bolon, she returned eye-popping mutuels: $437.00 to place, $182.20 to show.
Aaron Merriman piloted three winners on the 13-race program.
