Sprocket grabs second straight in Harrington feature

HARRINGTON, DE – Tlb Racing’s Sprocket (Sportswriter, $5.20, Pat Berry) notched his 2^nd straight win and 33rd of his harness racing career in 1:52.4 in the $22,500 Open Pace Monday (April 22) at Harrington Raceway.

The 9-year-old gelding raced from off the pace early but quickly gathered momentum and brushed by early leader Dontlikeitleave near three-quarters and breezed to a 2-length score over Baba O’Riley and Sir Charles Of Sky. It was his 4^th win of the year for trainer Traci Berry and pushed him over $500,000 in career earnings.

SPROCKET REPLAY

Brenda Teague’s Hundred Dollar Man (Lather Up, $2.20, Montrell Teague) made his 3-year-old debut a winning one with a 1:53.1 win. The gelding was a front-end winner by 4 lengths. The Clyde Francis-trainee has Ohio Sire Stakes events on the horizon after a successful freshman campaign, where he banked $100,400.

Ross Wolfenden had 3 wins on the card. Bart Dalious, Pat Berry and Art Stafford Jr. each had a double.

 Joe Columbo had a training triple for owners George and Tina Dennis.

Montrell Teague had a driving double for owner Brenda Teague and trainer Clyde Francis.
