Both horses drew posts 7 and 8 respectively in the claiming handicap. Black Magic Racing's Star Recruit, handled by Jonathan Roberts has two wins, three seconds, a third in his last seven starts. Bob Shahan's Shopping With Art was second last time with Allan Davis piloting. The program favorite is Howard
Taylor's Bossa Nova Baby with Ron Pierce driving.
For the second straight start, Bob Breasure and Nanticoke Racing's KR's Power Surge drew the rail with Jim Morand in the bike. Z Tam Stable's Wilbur's Z Tam, piloted by Tony Morgan, is alongside. Drunk On You is a factor with Eddie Davis Jr. driving for Sharon White and Legacy Racing. The rest of the starters are Jim King and Paton Racing's Sea Harrier with Vic Kirby and William Moffett's Laramars Soul and Ross Wolfenden.
Dover Downs races Sundays at 5:30 p.m. and weekdays, Monday through Thursday beginning at 4:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday are 'dark days.'
