Freehold, NJ — Drinkin Again has been on a hot streak lately. He won the Preferred Handicap harness racing pace at Freehold Raceway on Saturday (November 13), for his third consecutive win.
Off an impressive win in a non-winners of $8,000 last 5 pace last Saturday, Drinkin Again went off as the 6/5 favorite in the field of seven. He rated in fourth early on, while Time Watch set a dawdling opening quarter of 29.3 seconds over a sloppy track.
Not content with this pace, Thespywholovedme moved to the front and established control before the half. All the while, Austin Siegelman kept Drinkin Again in the four-hole.
As they neared three-quarters, Siegelman elected to make his move with Drinkin Again. Once Drinkin Again was fed racetrack, he zoomed to the lead and opened a clear advantage as they entered the stretch. He crossed the finish line 4 lengths in front, covering the mile in 1:55.4. He paced the final quarter in 27.4 seconds.
