Sweet And Feisty captures Meadows feature

WASHINGTON, PA, Nov. 2, 2023  — Sweet And Feisty (Sweet Lou) stubbornly turned back the challenge of the pocket-sitting Think Of Galaxies to capture Thursday’s (Nov. 2) harness racing feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $12,100 Filly & Mare Conditioned Pace.

Hammered down to 1-5, Sweet And Feisty confidently quarter-poled past Think of Galaxies, and when Ronnie Wrenn gave her a moderate 56 half, it looked like the race was hers. Think Of Galaxies had other ideas, but her bid fell 3/4 lengths short. Lovely Munro finished third in the mile, which went in 1:51.1.

SWEET AND FEISTY REPLAY

Ron Burke trains Sweet And Feisty, who won her second straight and extended her career bankroll to $153,993, for Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi LLC.

Aaron Merriman piloted five winners on the 13-race card while Dave Palone and trainer Dirk Simpson each enjoyed a triple.
