HARRINGTON, DE – Andrew Glassmeyer’s Sweet Angel Boy (Sweet Lou) and harness racing driver Tony Morgan overcame post eight in scoring a decisive 1:52.2 win in the $22,500 Free-For-All Pace Monday (Aug. 12) at Harrington Raceway.
The six-year-old gelding was sent for the lead as the gate swung open and never relented in an open length win over Layton Hanover and Captaincountrystar.
Sweet Angel Boy remained sharp after winning the $50,000 Governor’s Cup in his prior race on July 25. Trained by his owner, Sweet Angel Boy has banked nearly $120,000 this season, his best year to date as he already surpassed his earnings of $102,558 from last year. He paid $3.60 to win.
The win was also the middle leg of 3 straight victories on the card for driver Morgan, who had 4 wins on the program.

Meanwhile, 81-year-old trainer Bob Sampson had a double on the card as full brothers Foxbriar Remark ($4.00) and Foxbriar Romeo ($84.20) prevailed. Both sons of Beach Romeo-Giovanna Fra were driven by Cody Poliseno.
Live racing will continue on a Monday/Tuesday schedule until August 26 when a Monday-Wednesday schedule will resume until October 23.
