Sweet Tactics scores with smart strategy

Sweet Tactics (Tyler Miller, Tactical Landing) takes the $10,000 featured harness racing trot at Tioga Downs on Saturday (Jul. 29).

Tantalize Bluechip (Mike Merton) went to the front and was first to the quarter in :27.2.  She used a :29 second quarter to be first to the half :56.2.  She was just cruising down the backstretch and was first to three-quarters in 1:25.1. As they made the turn for Sweet Tactics ($12.60) made her move and came flying down the stretch.  Tantalize Bluechip dug in but Sweet Tactics kept coming and went on by to win in a lifetime best of 1:56.3.  Tantalize Bluechip had to settle for second.  Flyhawk El Fuerte (Aaron Byron) finished third.

Sweet tactics is a 3-year-old filly.  Owned by Ecurie Jean-Pierre and trained by Julie Miller.  She has four lifetime wins all this season.

Jim Taggart Jr. and Mike Merton had driving doubles on the card.
