Bangor, Maine – Harness racing driver Kevin Switzer, Jr seemingly saved the best for last on Wednesday (5-10) at Bangor Raceway.
After being denied a seat at the banquet during the early portion of the card, Switzer found the best table in the house late in the day,Ā victory in both halves of the late Daily Double while ensuring a pleasurable ride home from claimingnoon nosh at Bangor’s venerable Bass Park.
Switzer man aftereasured the wire in both his victorious bouts.
See You Friday (Western Terror), fresh off a recent $7500 claim out of First Track Cumberland, successfully made the leap to best Bangor’s optional $10,000 claiming ranks in a convincing seasonal best 1:56.4 score.
Switzer worked out a strategic second-over journey while navigating through a torrid 57.2 back-half before flying late through the lane to arrive home on top by a mere half-length margin for new owner William Mc Elvain Jr and trainer Cain Mackenzie.
The win was the second in a row for the veteran See You Friday.

With the taste of victory fresh on his tongue, Switzer quickly returned to savor the winners circle buffet in the afternoon’s finale, grinding out a determined first-over march behind Soho Leviathan A (Rock N Roll Heaven) in 1:58Ā while sealing a respectable $11.40 return for the Switzer Daily Double.
