As first reported by Harnesslink back on April 20, 2024, the Delaware Harness Racing Commission has finally released the fines and suspensions for seven trainers whose horses came up positive for ADB-Fubinaca (synthetic marijuana). All of the positive tests were from racing at Dover Downs back in March 2024.
In simple terms ADB-Fubinaca is synthetic cannabinoids or synthetic marijuana. It is defined as new psychoactive substances (NPS) and are designer drugs with chemical structure similar to classical drug substances like cannabis.
ADB-Fubinaca is ruled as a Class 1 drug with a Category “A” penalty (ARCI).
Here are the trainers involved and the penalties they have received.
Bart Bradley, two horses positive, $5,000 fine and a 183-day suspension.
Justin Brenneman, one horse positive, $5,000 fine and a 183-day suspension.
