Getting a perfect drive from Tim Tetrick, Scarlett Hanover ($7.80) was able to pass by race favorite Test Of Faith in the stretch to win the $253,800 Jugette final heat for three-year-old pacing fillies at Delaware, Ohio Wednesday.
Racing over a sloppy, rain-soaked track, the Jugette is for three-year-old pacing fillies and is the female counterpart to the Little Brown Jug that takes place on Thursday.
Paulas Bet Hanover (Yannick Gingras) was first on the lead with Nashville Elgenna (George Brennan) leaving from post eight and grabbing the two-hole spot as they went to the first quarter in :29.
It was not until the half mile marker in :58.4 that Test Of Faith and driver Dave Miller started up first-over with Scarlett Hanover grabbing the outside cover as they raced down the backstretch and to the three-quarters in 1:28.
Tipping three-wide on the final turn, Scarlett Hanover started after Test Of Faith for the lead and blew by the favorite coming to the wire, winning by a half length in 1:56. Test Of Faith was second with Oakwoodannabella IR (Ronnie Wrenn, Jr.) third.
For Scarlett Hanover, it was her second straight win on the day as she also captured her elimination heat. The Bettor’s Delight daughter is trained by Ron Burke, who became the winningest trainer ever in Jugette history with his fourth win in the prestigious event. Driver Tim Tetrick ended the day with five winners.

SCARLETT HANOVER REPLAY
Both Test Of Faith and Scarlett Hanover won their respective first heats of the Jugette for three-year-old harness racing pacing fillies over a sloppy, rain-soaked track at the Delaware County Fair Wednesday afternoon.
The $50,760 17th race second heat of the Jugette saw Odds On Whitney (Tim Tetrick) go right out to the lead with Continualou (Chris Page) sitting second.
The field raced in post position order through the first quarter in :28.4 and the half mile in :58.3 before the first move was back going into the backstretch as Ronnie Wrenn, Jr. took Oakwoodannabella IR first-over, giving outside cover to the 1/5 favorite Test Of Faith (David Miller).
To the three-quarters in 1:27.1, Oakwoodannabella IR was able to come on the outside and collar race leader Odds On Whitney around the final turn and as they came down the stretch, it was Test Of Faith and David Miller able to pass Oakwoodannabella IR by the wire to win by a half length in 1:55.3. Smothastenesewisky (Brett Miller) third with Odds On Whitney fourth.
Sired by Art Major, Test Of Faith ($2.60) notched her ninth win in ten starts this year for trainer Brett Pelling. She is owned by Melvin Segal, Kentuckiana Racing Stable and Eddie Gran.
TEST OF FAITH REPLAY
Scarlett Hanover and driver Tim Tetrick were able to grind it out first over against pacesetter Mikala (George Brennan) to win the $50,760 first heat of the.
The 16th race saw Mikala shoot out to the early lead with Paulas Bet Hanover (Yannick Gingras) sitting the pocket seat to the opening quarter mile in :29.2 and the half mile in :59.3.
Then Tetrick took Scarlett Hanover, the 6/5 favorite, first-over they began to work there towards the race leaders by the three-quarters in 1:28.1.
By the top of the stretch, Scarlett Hanover took over control of the race, going on to win by two and one-half lengths in 1:56 over Mikala with Paulas Bet Hanover third and Nashville Elgenna (Andy McCarthy) fourth.
SCARLETT HANOVER REPLAY
It was the fourth win this year for Scarlett Hanover ($5.00), a daughter of Bettor’s Delight, trained by Ron Burke and co-owned by Burke Racing, Baldachino, J & T Silva, Purnel & Libby and Weaver Bruscemi.
The first four official finishers from each of the heats return in race #20 for the $253,800 final.
