WASHINGTON, PA, June 21, 2023 — Jolene Volo (Trixton-I’m Volo) found a late seam between horses and poured through to spring a 14-1 upset Wednesday’s (Jun. 21) harness racing co-feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $10,900 Filly & Mare Conditioned Trot.
As the field turned for home, Muscle Envy was on the lead with Sweet Dough challenging outside and Jolene Volo in the pocket with no immediate racing room. But when Sweet Dough bore out, that was the opportunity Jolene Volo and Jeremy Indof needed. They found the path and scored in a career-best 1:57.4, 1-1/2 lengths better than Sweet Dough, with Muscle Envy third.
