Believer (Cantab Hall, Jim Taggart Jr.) and The Stunning Nun N (Bettor’s Delight, Wally Hennessey) win the harness racing co-features at Tioga Downs on Saturday (August 27).
Believer ($3.50) cruises to easy victory in the $10,300 featured trot.
Mr Houdini (Wally Hennessey) was first to the quarter in :28.3. Believer took over control with a lap to go. He was first to the half in :57.0 and led easily to the three-quarters in 1:26.1.
As they made the turn for home it was all Believer. Second place finisher Houdini came all out but couldn’t get close to Believer as he scored an easy win in 1:56.0. Broadway Bruiser (Corey Braden) finished third.

Believer is a 4-year-old horse. He is trained by Randy Taft for owners Mali Norbye and Arnold Wilkin. It was his sixth win of 2022. He now has 14 career victories.
The Stunning Nun N ($3.20) captures the $10,300 featured fillies & mares pace.
Sunrise Hanover (Mike Simons) was first to the quarter in :27.1. The Stunning Nun N brushed to the front as they went by the stands for the first time. The Stunning Nun N was first to the half in :57.0. Tempus Seelster (Corey Braden) came first-up going down the backstretch. The Stunning Nun N put her away and led to three-quarters in 1:24.2.
As they reached the stretch The Stunning Nun N had plenty in the tank and breezed to an easy win in 1:52.4. Sunrise Hanover was second best. Goldstar Rockette (Aaron Byron) came up late to finish third.

The Stunning Nun N is a 7-year-old mare. She is owned by Joel Warner, John Manning, Barbara Jensen, and trainer Mike Deters. It was her fourth win of the season and her 17th career victory.
Tioga Downs returns to Live racing on Sunday (August 28) featuring four divisions of the Empire Breeders Classic totaling over $465,000 in total purses for the four races. The 14-race card starts at 1 p.m.
