Nautilus De Vie takes lifetime mark

Nautilus De Vie (Credit Winner) easily set a new lifetime mark as he trotted past the race's favorite to prevail in the $8,300 co-feature on Thursday night at the harness racing meeting at Saratoga Casino and Raceway.

Leading driver Bruce Aldrich Jr. piloted the Jim Doherty-trained trotter and left hard early to make the lead before yielding to the move of the favored UF Lindsay Lou Who (Mark Beckwith).

Nautilus De Vie went into the passing lane in the stretch and sailed by to score in a career best 1:57.2 in the Winners of 2 but not more than four Lifetime trotting co-feature.

UF Lindsay Lou Who held second while Tango Pirate (Frank Coppola Jr) earned the show spot.

It was the third victory of the year for Nautilus De Vie who came into Thursday's tilt with a career best win time of 2:01.1, a mark that was significantly lowered after his pocket ride in the co-feature.

Live racing continues on Friday night at Saratoga with first post time set for 7:05pm.
