Leading harness racing driver Wally Hennessey just keeps on rolling as he drove five more winners at Tioga Downs on Sunday (August 1).
Hennessey combined with trainer Justin Sodano to win with The Candyman Can ($3.00), and Luck N Roll K ($4.20). His other wins came with Montalbano Bi ($5.20), Lucky June Bug ($4.50), and Hidden Assassin ($2.50).
John MacDonald drove two winners on the card and Aaron Byron had a training double.
Jammin Jack (Corey Braden) took the featured $8,600 trot. BJ Lorado (Braxten Boyd) jumped right to the front and led to the first quarter in :28. He used a :28.4 second quarter to lead to the half in :56.4.
Jammin Jack ($15.60) made his move first-over from third down the backstretch. BJ Lorado held a short lead hitting three-quarters first in 1:25.2. As they made the turn for home Jammin Jack took over the lead.
Joey Pro (Wally Hennessey) found an opening on the inside and Anchors Away (Mike Simons) came charging
on the outside. Jammin Jack was too strong and won easily in 1:55.1. Joey Pro was second best. Anchors Away finished third.
Jammin Jack is a 6-year-old gelding by Angus Hall. He is owned by Sum Ting Wong Stables and trained by Leon Cable. It was his third win of the season. He now has 18 career victories.
