Tioga Downs opens for 2022 season

Crossfit Mouse (Corey Braden) captured the $12,000 Open Trot at Tioga Downs opening night (May 7).

Crossfit Mouse ($40.40) got the first call, but Itsonlymoneyhoney (Mike Merton) took control and led to the first quarter in :28.0.  Believer (Braxten Boyd) then came first-up and hit the half first in :57.2.  He continued to lead and was the first to three-quarters in 1:25.3.

As they made the turn for home Itsonlymoneyhoney took a short lead.  Crossfit Mouse came flying down the stretch and blew right on by to win easily in1:55.2.  Itsonlymoneyhoney had to settle for second.  Believer finished third.

Crossfit Mouse is a 5-year-old gelding by Muscle Mass.  He is owned by Braden and trained by Stacey McLeneghan.  It was the third win this season.  He now has 13 career victories.

CROSSFIT MOUSE REPLAY

Braden drove four winners on the card.  His other winners were Su Su Sussudio ($2.80), Silverhill Misty $13.20, and Jammin Jack ($5.50).  Joe Skowyra had a training double.  His wins came with Adayonthebay ($3.10) and No Where To Hide ($2.80).

Tioga Downs returns to Live racing on Sunday (May 8) with a 13-race card starting at 1 p.m.
