Sports Bettor (Sportswriter) and harness racing driver Tyler Miller were able to capture the featured $10,000 King Of Klaims Pacing Series at Tioga Downs on Friday (May 19).
Sports Bettor ($14.40) took the lead just before hitting the quarter first in :28.1.Ā Ā He used a :30,2 second quarter to be first to the half in :58.3.Ā Ā Foo Fighter N (Bruce Aldrich Jr.) was first to make a move going first-up down the backstretch.Ā Ā Foo Fighter N grabbed a short lead and led to three-quarters in 1:25.4.
As they reached the stretch Sports Bettor battled back to take the lead.Ā Ā Second place finisher Sports Box (Ridge Warren) came flying late but couldnāt get to Sports Bettor who won in 1:55.0.Ā Ā Fredās Night (Aaron Byron) finished third.
Sports Bettor is an 11-year-old gelding owned by Rocco Stebbins and trained by Joe āScooterā Skowyra.Ā Ā It was his first win this season.Ā Ā He now has 32 career victories.
