BJ Lorado (Bo W) and harness racing driver Aaron Byron slipped through late in the stretch to capture the $9,500 featured trot at Tioga Downs on Saturday (June 24).
BJ Lorado ($10.20) was first to the quarter in :28.2.Ā Ā Jammin Jack (Corey Braden) took control with a lap to go.Ā Ā He was first to the half in :58.2.Ā Ā Worthy Of Honor (Bruce Aldrich Jr.) came first-up to challenge going down the backstretch.Ā Ā Jammin Jack Was first to three-quarters in 1:27.1.
As they reached the stretch Jammin Jack and Worthy Of Honor continued to battle.Ā Ā BJ Lorado squeezed through an opening by the pylons and got by to win in 1:57.3.Ā Ā Jammin Jack held on for second.Ā Ā Worthy Of Honor got third money.
BJ Lorado is a 9-year-old gelding trained by Marc Major for owners Diane and Michael Norcross.Ā Ā It was his first win this season.Ā Ā He now has 42 career victories.
