Pacing fillies’ headline NYSS at Tioga Downs

Tioga Downs welcomes two harness racing divisions of the New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) for 3-year-old pacing fillies on Sunday (July 23).

Earthwindfire (American Ideal, Jack Pelling) should be the one to beat in the $60,300 first division. She is the 6-5 morning line favorite.  She is trained by Brett Pelling.  She is coming off a win in the $115,000 Park Filly Pace Final at Yonkers.  The filly is four for four this season including NYSS wins at Monticello and Saratoga.  She has won over $400,000 in her career.

The second choice in the first division is the 3-1 Bruce Clarke trained Turn On The Charm (Huntsville , Marcus Miller).   The filly has five wins this season including NYSS wins at Buffalo, Saratoga, Monticello, and Vernon Downs.

Southwind Bella (Jack Pelling) the 3-2 morning line choice and Twin B Joe Fresh (Jason Bartlett) the 9-5 second choice square off in the $60,300 second division.

Brett Pelling trains Southwind Bella (Huntsville).  She has two wins and four places this season including a NYSS win at Saratoga.

Twin B Joe Fresh (Roll With Joe) has two wins this season including a NYSS win at Vernon Downs.  The filly has 10 career victories and has amassed over $700,000 in purses.  She is trained by Chris Ryder.

The 14-race card starts at 1 p.m.
