Abby Rose (Ridge Warren, Heston Blue Chip) fires late to capture the $9,500 fillies & mares’ harness racing pace at Tioga Downs on Saturday (Aug. 5).
Pearl Harbour N (Mike Merton) led to quarter in :27.0. Lets Ryde Girl (Aaron Byron) put on the pressure first-up heading to the half but Pearl Harbour N got there first in :56.0 and she led to three-quarters in 1:23.3.

As they made the turn for home Prairie Westerngal (Tyler Miller) popped the pocket and grabbed a short lead. Abby Rose ($8.50) came flying three-wide and brushed on by to win in 1:53.2. Prairie Westerngal got second money. Pearl Harbour N had to settle for third.
Abby Rose is a 5-year-old mare. She is owned by Mali Norbye and trained by Randy Taft. It was her third win of the season and her 14th career victory.
Trainer Stacey McLenaghan and driver Corey Braden combined for a double. Mike Merton had a driving double.
