$114,000 NYSS Sunday at Tioga Downs

Tioga Downs will play host to two divisions of the $114,000 New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) for 3-year-old pacing colts & geldings on Sunday (August 20).

Thunder Hunter Joe (Huntsville, Tyler Buter) is the 5-2 morning line choice in the $57,000 first division.  The gelding is trained by Nicholas Devita.  He has four wins in seven starts this season including NYSS wins at Monticello and Vernon Downs.

Metal Man (Huntsville, Matt Kakaley) is the 3-1 second choice in the first division.  Travis Alexander trains the gelding.  He has six wins this season including a NYSS win at Batavia,

The Chris Ryder trained Golden Greatness (Huntsville, Jason Bartlett) is the 2-1 morning line favorite in the $57,000 second division.  The gelding has four wins this season including NYSS wins at Monticello and Yonkers.

Huntinthelastdolar (Huntsville, Wally Hennessey) appears to be the biggest threat to Golden Greatness in the second division.  Gregg McNair trains the gelding.  He has NYSS wins at Vernon Downs, Saratoga, and Yonkers.

The 13-race card starts at 1 p.m.
