Tioga Downs will play host to two $57,000 harness racing divisions of the New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) for 3-year-old colt and gelding trotters on Sunday (August 11).

Sir Pinnochio with driver Jason Bartlett is one of the favorites in the NYSS

Fly By (Chapter Seven) and driver Jason Bartlett are the 8-5 morning line favorite in the first division.  The colt is trained by Tony Alagna.  He has a win, three seconds, and a third in nine starts this season.  His win was a leg of NYSS at Yonkers.

The Marcus Melander trained Thinker Monkey (Chapter Seven) and driver Mark MacDonald are the second choice.  He is winless this season but is coming off a decent second in the Muscle Hill at the Meadowlands.

Sir Pinnochio (Met’s Hall) and driver Jason Bartlett are the heavy 7-5 morning line favorite in the second division.  He has five wins and four seconds this season including a win in the MGM Yonkers Trot.  The gelding is trained by Edward Hart.  He has won nearly $400,000 in his career.

George Ducharme trains the 3-1 second choice Keep Asking (Tyler Buter) .  The colt by Chapter Seven has seven career victories but only one win as a sophomore.  His one win was a NYSS win at Monticello.  He has banked nearly $380,000 in his career.

The 15-race card starts at 1 p.m.
