Dandy’s Mercy (Captain Crunch, Braxten Boyd) dominated the $10,000 featured fillies & mares’ pace at Tioga Downs on Friday (July 19).

Dandy’s Mercy ($2.10) went to front and led to the first quarter in :27.4.  She used a :28.1 second quarter to be first to the half in :56.0.  She cruised to three-quarters in 1:23.0.

As they reached the stretch second place finisher Kissapotomas (Tyler Miller) went all out after the leader.  Dandy’s Mercy found another gear and won easily in 1:50.4.

Madam X (Bruce Aldrich Jr.) finished third.

DANDY’S MERCY REPLAY

Dandy’s Mercy is a 3-year-old filly. She is trained by John Butenschoen for owners Dandy Farms racing, Hart Walker, FT Racing Stable, and Douglas Overhiser.  It was her third win this season.  She now has seven career victories.

Trainer Randy Taft won three races on the night.  Mike Merton, Jim Pantaleano, and Aaron Byron all had driving doubles.

Tioga Downs returns to live racing on Saturday (July 20) with a 10-race card starting at 6:15 p.m.
