Jay Wolf’s Top Jug Contenders

Delaware, OH – For the next six weeks, Little Brown Jug Publicity Director Jay Wolf will rank the top 10 harness racing horses eligible for the 78th edition of the $1,000,000 (est.) Little Brown Jug to be contested on Thursday, September 21, 2023.

In a special feature for 2023, there will be a pair of guest pickers during Weeks #4 and #5. Dave Bianconi, analyst on the Little Brown Jug simulcast show, and Brad Conrad, long-time track photographer at the Delaware County Fair, will provide their selections on August 29 and September 5.

Supplement Information

Any three-year-old pacer not currently eligible for the 78^th Little Brown Jug may, with a payment of $45,000, supplement to the 2023 Little Brown Jug. Supplemental entries are due by Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Those currently eligible must submit their entry by Monday, September 18, 2023, at 10:00 a.m.
