Hightstown, NJ — Only two horses in the Top 10 were in action last week, leading to little movement in the Week 20 Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown harness racing poll released Tuesday, October 18.
The lone change in position came courtesy of Ontario Sire Stakes champion Stockade Seelster (State Treasurer), who moved from ninth to eighth in a swap of spots with idle Allywag Hanover (Captaintreacherous). Bella Bellini (Bar Hopping), who finished fifth in the MGM Robert Miecuna Invitational Trot, remained fifth in the rankings.
Bulldog Hanover (Shadow Play) continued his reign at No. 1 for the 15th consecutive week. He was followed by Joviality S (Chapter Seven), Test Of Faith (Art Major), and Bythemissal (Downbytheseaside).
The Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll does not determine Horse of the Year. The members of the U.S. Harness Writers Association vote on all Dan Patch Award division winners plus Trotter of the Year, Pacer of the Year and Horse of the Year.
Rankings based on the votes of harness racing media representatives on a 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 basis.
