A number of top harness racing trainers in the USA have been fined and some suspended by various state jurisdiction racing commissions for various positive tests and other infractions.
Hall of Famer Ron Burke, Jim King, Jr. William Bena and Arty Foster, Jr. are just a few caught with positive horse infractions. Burke was fined $1,500, King fined $1,000, Bena $1,000 and Arty Foster, Jr. $5,000 and a 180 day suspension.
Also of note, trainer Travion Jones received a $5,000 fine and a one year suspension for refusal of authorities to conduct a search of his barn area and vehicle.
