Lebanon, OH — Harness racing driver Trace Tetrick recorded his 7,000th career victory on Monday (April 10) at Miami Valley.
The milestone win came in the 12th race behind Universal (Downbytheseaside), Tetrick’s third winner on the program.
Tetrick got Universal away third in a quick :26.4 opening panel. He then launched a long first over attack through middle fractions of :56 and 1:23.1 before pulling away to a two-length win in 1:51.1 as the mild 5-2 favorite.

Tetrick is the perennial dash champion at Harrah’s Hoosier Park, but spends January through early May at Miami Valley, where he currently has a comfortable lead in the local dash derby.
UNIVERSAL / TRACE TETRICK REPLAY
It would be Trace’s second Miami Valley title if he holds on to win it over Brett Miller and Dan Noble, who are chasing him for the 2023 crown.
