The closing of Freehold Raceway on Saturday, December 28, also marked the end of the long-time track harness racing photography business of the late John Pantaloneās World Wide Racing Photos.
Pantalone founded the business in 1972, serving as track photographer for Liberty Park, Atlantic city, Garden State Park, Rosecroft and Harrahās Chester. He added Freehold to his photography business in 2004.
During his career he battled kidney failure, dialysis and received a transplant in 1999, but passed away in 2019.
Pantaloneās widow Pat, who kept the business and his legacy going in jhis memory, announced that with the closing of Freehold, World Wide Racing Photos would cease operations.
Pat recalled that Johnās motto was āquick delivery of a quality productā.
