Dan Rawlings has made an impact in his somewhat limited tries this harness racing season at Saratoga Casino Hotel.

On Wednesday, the Monticello regular brought a few of his trainees to town and recorded a trainer/driver double. Rawlings guided Katie Can Wish (Bettor’s Wish) and Mooss Trax (Time To Roll) to victories in their $8,000 races for young pacers.
Katie Can Wish was making her first official start out of the Rawlings stable when she parlayed her pocket trip to a dominant five and a half length victory that saw her set a new lifetime mark of 1:57.
The three year old filly prevailed in her New York debut when she scored at Monticello earlier in the month and wasted little time making her return to the winner’s circle on Wednesday.
KATIE CAN WISH REPLAY
Rawlings also got a pocket trip for Mooss Trax whose victory wasn’t as decisive as his stablemate Katie Can Wish’s score but the four year old closed well before stopping the timer in 1:59.1 to complete the double for his connections. Both Rawlings trainees are owned by Cliff Grundy of Boca Raton, FL.
Live racing resumes on Sunday at Saratoga with a matinee that begins at 12pm.
