The USTA Fines and Suspensions for the past week include two harness racing trainers who have received stiff fines/suspensions for their illegal actions.
Sharon Donella at the Meadows received a $10,000 fine and a 290 day suspension for possession of hypodermic needles, syringes and injectable substances. Her vehicle was found to be in possession of (8) syringes, (35) needles, (15) bottles of injectable substances, and (5) tubes of Omeprazole paste without a prescription label.
Kevin Lare back in 2021 at Pocono Downs had his horse found to be positive for Oxycodone and after dropping his appeal has been fined $10,000 and suspended for 549 days that will now end on Jan. 1, 2023.
It should also be noted that driver Dan Noble dropped his appeal and has been fined $1,000 and suspended for 30 days due to a positive test for Marijuana. This is the fifth time he has had a positive test in Ohio.
