Columbus, MN –Two drivers dominated the Tuesday night (June 22) harness racing program at Running Aces, as Dean Magee opened up the program with two wins, and later closed out the card with two more wins to complete the grand slam. Jacob Cutting registered back-to-back wins in races four and five, and came back with another tally in race seven.
Trainer Edward Hernandez sent out the top two finishers in the $12,000 feature race, with So So De Vie (Brady Jenson, $32.00) getting home ¾ of a length ahead of stablemate Parklane Jet (Dean Magee) in a 1:52.4 mile in the Open Pace.
Magee got away fifth with Parklane Jet and then launched a first-over bid down the backstretch to apply heavy pressure to race leader Stuckey Dote (Mooney Svendsen) before taking a short lead as they approached the wire, while Jenson got away third with So So De Vie and saved ground throughout, surging up the inside passing lane in deep-stretch to get by Parklane Jet and register his fifth win of the season for owner Jose Cervantes.
SO SO DE VIE REPLAY
Castle Flight (Luke Plano) travelled in the pocket all the way and angled out with late pace to surge at the wire and get home in third.
