Two new $475K series coming to Yonkers Raceway this fall

Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines for the inaugural MGM Grand Prix Invitationals at Yonkers Raceway.

Management at MGM Yonkers Raceway is excited to announce a pair of new harness racing events – one for older pacers and one for older trotters – that will offer three $75,000 legs each and $250,000 finals. A total of 16 horses on each gait will be invited with the top eight point-earners who have started in all three legs earning spots in the rich final.

Dates and distances for each are below:

MGM Grand Prix Trot

Leg 1: October 11 (1 mile)

Leg 2: November 1 (1 Mile)

Leg 3: November 8 (1 1/16)

$250K Final: November 15 (1 1/16)

MGM Grand Prix Pace

Leg 1: November 4 (1 mile)

Leg 2: November 11 (1 Mile)

Leg 3: December 9 (1 1/16)

$250K Final: December 16 (1 1/16)

Points for the final will be distributed on a 50-25-12-8-5 basis and all horses will race out of retention for the final.
