Monticello, NY— Coming off victories in last week’s North American Amateur Drivers Association (NAADA) features, Andrew Adamczyk and Alan Schwartz entered the winner’s circle once again. Brutal Storm (Calchips Brute, Andrew Adamczyk, $10.60) and Woodside Emileah (Guccio, Alan Schwartz, $2.30) won their respective $7,500 NAADA harness racing trots at Monticello Raceway on Wednesday (Oct. 4).
Out of the gate, Win And Dream (Alan Schwartz) went for the early lead in the first division. From the middle of the track, Fair Glider (Robert Ciavardini) followed closely in second and Jumpshot (Joseph Lee) was trotting in third. As they reached the quarter pole in :29.2, the 3-5 favorite Win And Dream was leading the way by a length over Fair Glider, who was in the pocket spot in second.
Win And Dream was holding on to the lead, with Fair Glider in second and Jumpshot in third as they passed the half mile in 1:00.1.
From the outside, Brutal Storm started to move to the front from his place in fourth. As they passed the three-quarter mile in 1:31.2, Win And Dream and Brutal Storm were in a battle for the lead. Fair Glider followed closely in third.
As they moved around the final turn, Brutal Storm took the lead and kept it until he crossed the wire in 2:01.4. Fair Glider finished a quarter length behind in second and Jumpshot came in third.

In the second division, By A Hoff Hanover (Joseph Faraldo) took the early lead from the center of the track. The 1-9 favorite Woodside Emileah moved to the front from the outside, taking the lead. Jekyil N Hyde (Joseph Lee) and Call Me Thefireman (Anthony Verruso) were in a battle for second as they passed the first quarter mile in :28.3.
Call Me Thefireman looked to take on the favorite from the outside as they made their way by the stand for the first time. Jekyil N Hyde was racing in third as they passed the half mile in :57.4.
Woodside Emileah had the lead by three lengths over Call Me Thefireman. Jekyil N Hyde stole second as they passed the three-quarter mile in 1:27.4.
Woodside Emileah was all alone as they turned for home, crossing the wire nine lengths ahead of By A Hoff Hanover in second and Jekyil N Hyde in third in 1:58.3.
WOODSIDE EMILEAH REPLAY
Woodside Emileah is a 5-year-old mare trained by Gary Messenger and owned by Scott Woogen. She was coming off a win in 1:58.4.
