Unbeaten Kilmister (Chapter Seven), winner of the $337,000 Peter Haughton Memorial, made his debut at Lexington’s Red Mile a winning one with an impressive victory in the $80,000 third leg of the Kentucky Championship Series Sunday afternoon (August 21).
The 9th race co-feature for two-year-old trotting colts saw 32-1 Excalibur Bi and driver Andy McCarthy go right to the early lead from post five with Point Of Perfect (Todd McCarthy) grabbing the two-hole spot as the field settled down by the first quarter in :27.3.
Then it was the even money favorite, unbeaten Kilmister and driver Brian Sears coming first-up from fifth place and then with a quick brush was on the lead at the half mile in :57.
From that point on Kilmister controlled the pace, leading to the three quarters in 1:24.4 and with no one able to mount a challenge, easily won by two and one-half lengths in 1:52.3. Excalibur Bi was second with Point Of Perfect third.

It was the fifth straight win and a lifetime mark for Kilmister, who is trained by Marcus Melander for Courant Inc. of Delray Beach, FL. He paid $4.14 to win.
The 7th race co-feature was the $80,000 second leg of the Kentucky Championship Series for three-year-old pacing fillies with only five starters in the race.
It was 27-1 Msdinosis Bluegrass and driver Dexter Dunn who started off the show with early speed to take command with Beyond The Sea (Andy Miller) getting the two-hole trip in second and sitting third was the 1/9 favorite, Boudoir Hanover (Captaintreacherous) and driver Todd McCarthy.
Msdinosis Bluegrass continued to lead the field to the half in :56.1 and the three-quarters in 1:23.3 as McCarthy came first-over with Boudoir Hanover.
Dunn actually had a three-length lead with Msdinosis Bluegrass at the top of the stretch, but that did not last long as McCarthy got to down to business with Boudoir Hanover in deep stretch, blowing by Msdinosis Bluegrass and winning by two and one-quarter lengths in 1:50.3. The last quarter in :26.2 for the winner. Msdinosis Bluegrass was second with Don’t Fence Me In (Andy McCarthy) was third.
BOUDOIR HANOVER REPLAY
It was the third win this season for Boudoir Hanover. She is trained by Tony Alagna and is co-owned by Riverview Racing, Alagna Racing, Caviart Farms, D. Plouffe & S Head. Riverview Breeding and Visionary Breeders bred the filly that paid $2.26 to win.
