DOVER, Del. — The Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) spotlights harness racing two-year-old filly pacers on Tuesday, Nov. 21 with two $20,000 first leg preliminaries at Dover Downs. Post time is 4:30 p.m.
Both 1st leg winners -Gracefullyfogiven and Go Sandy Go meet in the 6th race, the first of two $20,000 DSBF prelims. Gracefullyforgiven , a winner of all five of her races was an easy 1:54.2 last week with Art Stafford Jr and owner-breeders Jeff and David Clark.
Go Sandy Go made a successful debut in DSBF action winning her maiden start also in 1:54.2 with Jason Green in the bike. Brent Outten and trainer Josh Green own the Roddy's Bags Again-Bit Of Trick filly. Tim Tetrick drives for Darrell and Leah Lewis' Pedal Power, a third place finisher last Tuesday. She drew the rail.
Bay Pond Racing's Bunker Away, a second-place finisher in the DSBF Consolation at Harrington, scored a wire-to-wire win last week with Corey Callahan in the bike. George Teague's homebred Nozy Neighbor, a half-sister to fame Wiggleit Jiggleit, handled by Montrell Teague, raced gamely to finish third after trouble at the starting gate last time.
After two legs, the top eight DSBF point getters make the $100,000 finals for colt and filly trotters and pacers next Thursday, Nov. 30, along with the $300,000 (est.) Hap Hansen Progress Pace for three-year-olds.
On Tuesday the regular card feature is a $25,000 Open Handicap trot with mare assigned inside posts. This week, three newcomers from Yonkers Raceway are among seven starters. John DeVito's Ameliosa (Allan Davis) starts from post 1, while B Yoyo (Corey Callahan), owned by Bill K Lambos and Dion Liberatos, has the outside. Uva Hanover (Tim Tetrick) has raced at Dover last season, and leaves from post 3 for Martin Steinberg and Stake Your Clam Stable.
Mike Casalino and Dylan Davis' Therisademoninme (Jonathan Roberts) won this event last week and takes on Ken Wood, Bill Dittmar and Steve Iaquinta's Celebrity Pegasus (Art Stafford Jr.) , Murmur Hanover (Vic Kirby) and Jim Moor's Royal Becca J (Jack Parker Jr.).
There is no live racing this Thursday, Nov. 23, Dover Downs Harness wish all a Happy Thanksgiving.
Dover Downs now features a 50-cent Pick 5 wager starting with the 2nd race through the 6th. A late daily double is carded for the 12th and 13th races.
