USHWA to announce 2021 Dan Patch Award winners

Anderson, Ind. — The U.S. Harness Writers Association (USHWA) and Caesar’s Entertainment, Inc. are honored to announce the 2021 Dan Patch Award recipients via Facebook and YouTube on Monday (Dec. 20) and Tuesday (Dec. 21).

Hosted by Emily Gaskin, racing commentator at Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing & Casino, the first live stream broadcast will name divisional pacing champions and will air at noon on Dec. 20. Trotting award-winners will be announced at noon on Dec. 21.

Selected by USHWA, the Dan Patch Awards have annually acknowledged the sport’s most prolific human and equine performers since 1985. All divisional and human winners will be celebrated at the Dan Patch Award banquet on Sunday (Feb. 20) at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Fla. where Pacer of the Year, Trotter of the Year and Horse of the Year will be revealed.
