USTA Fines & Suspensions List

Here are the recently published fines and suspensions in the United State. Documentation is from the United States Trotting Association.

CLEGG, BETTY JO NORTHFIELD, OH YOB 1973 Nfld on 3/27/2021 FINED: $1,000 HORSE DISQUALIFIED, PURSE REDISTRIBUTION POSITIVE TEST- POST RACE Urine sample #887612 collected at Northfield Park on 3/27/21 from the horse Dixie Star N was found to contain Methocarbamol at a concentration of 20.3+-2.0 micrograms per milliliter of urine. This exceeds the Regulatory Threshold of 1.0 micrograms per milliliter adopted by the OSRC. All purse money must be returned for redistribution ($1,800.00). O.S.R.C.-3769-18-01(B)(10)&(13) 18-02 18-99 If the fine is not paid to the judges by 5/14/21 you shall be suspended and your license may be revoked by the commission. If the purse money is not returned by 5/14/21 the owner shall stand suspended until all purse money is returned to the permit holder. Horses owned wholly or in part by the owner shall also be suspended and are not transferable until the purse money is returned.

GEORGE, SCOTT TYLER SUNBURY, OH YOB 1985 Haw on 5/9/2021 RESTORED TO GOOD STANDING(RES) AS OF 5/12/2021 OTHER Having complied with IRB licensing requirements, restored to good standing.

HOLLAND, CHRISTIE L BEAVER, PA YOB 1982 Mea on 2/25/2021 FINED: $100 FALSIFICATION OF LICENSE APPLICATION PA Code Title7-185.1(b),185.8(a),205.32(d)1,2,7,205.33(a)(b)2,8.Ms. Holland submitted a license application on 2/25/2021 and omitted her full prior arrest record. Ms. Holland is hereby fined $100 which is due within 10 days of this ruling. Ms. Holland is further ordered to submit an amended application complete with full listing of above mentioned item(s) Ms. Holland has 10 days to appeal this decision to the Pennsylvania State Horse Racing Commission, Bureau of Standardbred Racing.

JOHNSON, STANLEY C CLINTON, MS YOB 1967 Haw on 5/7/2021 FINED: $100 FALSIFICATION OF LICENSE APPLICATION IRB rule 502.90 B)- failure to provide correct information on license app

LARE, KEVIN HARRINGTON, DE YOB 1969 PcD on 3/22/2021 FINED: $10,000 FULL – 365 DAYS, 5/13/2023 THRU 5/11/2024 HORSE DISQUALIFIED, PURSE REDISTRIBUTION POSITIVE TEST- POST RACE PA Title 7-203.22 401.3(a((b) Sample number365632 collected from the horse Golden Son after race #10 on 3/22/21 was found to contain Oxycodone This is in violation of the PA Medication rules. He is fined $10,000.00 and suspended(full) for 365 days(5/13/2023- 5/11/2024). There is also a loss of the purse($7500.00). The horse is placed on the judges list for 180 days. During this suspension he and all horses owned and trained by him are barred from all grounds under the jurisdiction of the SHRC. Any transfer of horses must be approved by the judges at Pocono Downs or the SHRC. You may appeal this decision within 10 days of notice of this decision. The address for an appeal is: SHRC 2301 N.
