Trotting fillies headline $108,200 NYSS Friday

Vernon Downs plays host to a $108,200 leg of the New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) for 2-year-old trotting fillies on Friday (July 26).

Chapvious (Devious Man-Chaperess, Jason Bartlett) leads a strong field of eight as the 5-2 morning line favorite.  The filly is trained by George Ducharme.  She has two wins in three starts including NYSS wins at Yonkers and Buffalo.

The Ake Svanstedt trained Beautiful Sight (Chapter Seven-Beautiful Sin, Tyler Buter) is coming off a NYSS win at Tioga Downs.  The filly is one for one in her career.

Pink Chou Chou (Todd McCarthy) is a filly by Chapter Seven-Secret Magic.  She fell just short of a win in her last NYSS start at Tioga.  She is trained by Nancy Takter and should be right in the thick of things as well.

The 15-race card starts at 12:15 p.m. on Friday (7-26).
