Hackabone gets another grand slam.

Justin Huckabone is having a harness racing season to remember at Vernon Downs as he drove four more winners on Saturday (October 9).

Huckabone got his wins with Quaker Hill ($4.50), Crossfit Mouse ($4.10), Jericho Willie ($4.20), and Lyons Pegasus ($3.80).  He won four races on Friday as well giving him eight wins on the weekend

Discus Hanover (Leon Bailey) charges late to capture the featured $7,000 Open 1 Trot.

Credit List (Justin Huckabone) took the lead just before hitting the first quarter in :26.3.  Lucky June Bug (Chris Long) came first-up and put the pressure on going down the backstretch.  Credit List led to the half in :56.0 and was first two three-quarters in 1:25.1.

As they reached the stretch Discus Hanover ($10.60) popped out of the pocket and went flying by to win easily in 1:54.1.  Double Dealing (Jimmy Whittemore) fired late to finish second.  Credit List had to settle for third.

Discus Hanover is a 4-year-old gelding by Credit Winner.  He is owned by Phillip Hale and trainer David Dewhurst.  It was his ninth win of the season and his 25^th career victory.

Vernon Downs returns to live racing on Friday (October 15).  Post time is 6:10 p.m.
