Harness racing driver Justin Huckabone had a night to remember on opening day at Vernon Downs Saturday (April 16). He drove six winners in the same card for the first time in his career.
The $7,000 ninth race Open Trot began with Discus Hanover (Ron Harp) going straight to the front. Credit List ($6.50) and driver Justin Huckabone took over control just before hitting the first quarter in :29.3. He used a :29.3 second quarter to hit the half in :58.3. He breezed to three-quarters in 1:27.4.
As they made the turn for home it was all Credit List as he opened by four in the stretch. Joxter (Dan Daley) came flying late but had to settle for second as Credit List won in 1:57.0. Discus Hanover was third best.
Credit List is a 7-year-old gelding by Credit Winner. He is owned by Jonathan Appelbaum and trained by Huckabone. It was his first win this season. He now has 24 career victories.
CREDIT LIST REPLAY

George Harrison had a driver-trainer double. He scored his wins with Sir Real Games ($4.90) and Heid ($6.30).
