Tokyo Seelster went straight to the front and led to the first quarter in :28.0.  He used a :30.0 second quarter to be first to the half in :58.0.  Joxter ($3.60) made his move down the backstretch going first-over from fifth.  Tokyo Seelster led to three-quarters in 1:26.2.

As they made the turn for home Joxter started to bear down on Tokyo Seelster.  Joxter took over in deep stretch and had to hold off the late charge of second place finisher, Franks Watching (Ray Fisher Jr.).  Joxter circled the mile in 1:55.0.  Tokyo Seelster finished third.

Joxter is a 4-year-old gelding and is owned by Ann-Mari Daley and trained by husband Dan Daley.  It was his eighth win this season and his 18th career victory.

JOXTER REPLAY

Daley had a driver-trainer double.  He got his other win with Cocomadaboutyou ($14.00).  Steeven Genois and Leon Bailey each had driving doubles.

Vernon Downs returns to Live racing on Saturday (October 22) with a 10-race card starting at 6:05 p.m.
