Whats The Word ($3.70) went straight to the front and led to the quarter in :26.2.Ā Ā He went :29.0 in the second quarter and was first to the half in :55.2.Ā Ā As he went around the final turn, he gave them all the slip as he cruised to three-quarters in 1:23.4.
As they made the turn for home it became a race for second as Whats The Word breezed home and won going away in 1:54.2. Lepanto (Barton Dalious) was second.Ā Ā Live Well Lived (Jimmy Whittemore) finished third.
Whats The Word is an 8-year-old horse trained by Megan Reynolds for James Femia, Janice Connor, and Scott McGee.Ā Ā It was his first win this season.Ā Ā He now has 25 career victories.
