Party Queen (Roll With Joe) and driver Barton Dalious captured the $6,500 harness racing featured fillies & mares’ pace at Vernon Downs on Friday (June 30).
Special Olivia (Steeven Genois) went straight to the front and led to the quarter in :26.3. Party Queen ($5.20) came first-up going down the backstretch. Special Olivia led to the half in :56.2. The two mares continued to battle all around the final turn. Special Olivia was first to three-quarters in 1:25.1.
As they reached the stretch Party Queen wore Special Olivia down and took over to win in a lifetime best of 1:53.0. Unusual Clarity (Ron Harp) came up to finish second. Special Olivia had to settle for third.
Party Queen is a 5-year-old mare owned by The Betcha Win Stables and Trained by Jeff Sorenson. It was her fourth win this season. She now has 14 career victories.

Barton Dalious drove three winners on the card. Jeff Sorenson had a training double. Claud Huckabone III had a driving-training double.
