Party Queen (Roll With Joe) and driver Barton Dalious captured the $6,500 featured fillies & mares’ harness racing pace at Vernon Downs on Friday (July 14)
Mildrex (Dylan Huckabone-Miller) took the lead just before hitting the quarter first in :26.4. Miley Rose (Steeven Genois) came first-over to challenge going down the backstretch. Mildrex was first to the half in :55.2. She would shake off Miley Rose and was first to three-quarters in 1:24.2.
As they made the turn for home Party Queen ($5.70) battled with Mildrex for the top spot. As they reached mid-stretch Party Queen just took off and won easily in a lifetime best of 1:52.4. Unusual Clarity (Ron Harp) came up to finish second. Mildrex had to settle for third.
Party Queen is a 5-year-old mare owned by Betcha Win Stable LLC. and trained by Jeff Sorenson. It was her fifth win this season and her 15th career victory.
PARTY QUEEN REPLAY
