Fear Her Touch (Fear The Dragon) and harness racing driver Leon Bailey captured the $5000 featured fillies & mares’ pace at Vernon Downs on Friday (May 10).
Irish Exit Express (John MacDonald) went to the lead and was first to the quarter in :27.3. She used a :28.4 second quarter to be first to the half in :56.2. She cruised to three-quarters in 1:25.1.
As they reached the stretch Irish Exit Express looked like she had it well in hand but Fear Her Touch ($8.90) had other Ideas. She popped the pocket and blew on by to win in a lifetime best of 1:53.4. Irish Exit Express had to settle for second. One More Try (Dylan Huckabone-Miller) finished third.
Fear Her Touch is a 5-year-old mare owned and trained by John Rothfuss. It was her third win this season. She now has 15 career victories. She paid $8.90 to win.

John MacDonald drove three winners on the card. Claude Huckabone III had two driving wins and three training wins.
