Violets Rainbow (Art Official) completed a triple for trainer Jaymes McAssey on Tuesday afternoon at Saratoga Casino Hotel as the veteran harness racing mare prevailed in the matinee’s feature.

Violets Rainbow scored victories in her first local starts this season before stepping up into the ladies’ Open last week (Feb 18) in which she finished fourth.
The eight year old distaffer came first-over in Tuesday’s $12,000 feature for fillies and mares and wore down longshot leader Linemup Knockmback (Jimmy Devaux) late in the stretch.
Violets Rainbow stopped the timer in 1:54.3 to record her third win of the year as she bested Linemup Knockmback who held second while the favored Always Watching (Jordan Derue) earned the show spot.
Violets Rainbow, who was piloted by Brett Beckwith, paid $5.70 to win in her Tuesday score which was the third of the day for her stable as McAssey’s Think Ahead and Downtown Tonight both recorded their third wins of the season on Tuesday.
