Harness Analyst – Northfield Park 7th June

We have a competitive 15-race card of harness racing at the “Home of the Flying Turns”, Northfield Park, tonight and here are my selections for the entire card and multi-race tickets.

BEST BET: (1) COACH CUTSINGER – Race 5

SPOT PLAY: (5) FEAR MY SMILE – Race 6

$1 Pick 4 – Race 2 – 5/1,2,3,5,6/3,5,6,9/1 = $20

$1 Pick 5 – Race 6 – 5/2,5,7,9/2,4,6,9/2/1,3,5 = $48

$1 Pick 4 – Race 11 – 2,5/3,7/7/2,4,6,9 = $16

Race 1 – 1-2-4-9-7

(1) KEYSTONE CATALYST stands out here after setting some bug fractions last week and he gets Page in the bike tonight. He should go coast-to-coast at a miniscule price.

Race 2 – 5-1-2-6

(5) BRUTE SQUAD is clearly fastest in here and he should convert if he stays flat tonight.

Race 3 – 2-3-5-1

(2) BLACK PYTHON fits better here and he gets a slight nod in a wide-open race where I think you need to use a few of them in the Pick 4.

Race 4 – 6-3-5-9

(6) LA BELLE RIVIERE raced great coming off a rest and she almost chased down a big favorite. She can beat these if she is close enough at the 3/4 pole.

Race 5 – 1-2-3-4

(1) COACH CUTSINGER draws the rail, gets Wrenn in the bike and adds Lasix here and a big speed try should be coming. She should be the one to catch.

Race 6 – 5-4-2-3

(5) FEAR MY SMILE faces easier and he gets Wrenn and adds Lasix. He should reverse his form facing this group and he gets top billing.

Race 7 – 5-9-7-2

(5) VH VOLT gets a slight nod in a wide-open Stallion series race where he could get a setup and make the last move that gets the money.

Race 8 – 6-4-2-9

(6) JOHNNY ROCKETTE has a better chance of clearing to the front tonight after getting hung the mile from post 8 last week and he gets a slight nod.

Race 9 – 2-3-4-1

(2) TIDE HAS TURNED looked great winning here last week, and he gets post advantage on his main rivals. I think Wrenn takes no prisoners here and leads all the way.

Race 10 – 1-5-3-6

(1) DEERRUN SANDY couldn’t repel a rival that was trotting a 27.2 third 1/4 last week. She should be on the engine again and she has a better chance tonight.

Race 11- 2-5-1-8

(2) BOUNDTOBEFEARLESS was in the 10-hole in his last two starts and he should appreciate tonight’s post relief. He could lead these all the way.

Race 12 – 7-3-1-2

(7) REICHERS CAVIAR gets a slight nod in what appears to be a tow-horse race. She should get the jump on her main rival and her price is likely to be better.

Race 13 – 7-9-3-2

(7) LITENINGONTHEBEACH looks best here, and he has post advantage on his main rival who starts from the second tier. He should prove tough to beat.

Race 14 – 2-6-4-9

(2) STONEBRIDGE HECATE gets out of the second tier tonight and A Mac will likely be looking to send him right down the road.

Race 15 – 7-3-1-2

(7) AFLIGHTTOFRANCE didn’t show much at 8 to 5 last week, but she got a clean line, and she will likely get more aggressive now. Slight nod in a tough race.
