Wehadababyetzaboy (Sweet Lou) exploded late to win the Open Handicap Pace at Bally’s Dover on Thursday night.

Captaincountrystar and Alta Revelry N hustled away quickest off the wings of the harness racing starting gate at the start of the race.
Captaincountrystar muscled his way to the front and forced Alta Revelry N to take a seat in the pocket. The opening quarter was paced in 26.2.
Captaincountrystar, controlled the tempo of the race and continued on the lead reaching the half in 55.4. (29.2)
Itsrockandroll A, last week’s winner, braved a 1st over brush into 20 mph winds midway down the backstretch. Wehadababyetzaboy shadowed 2nd over on the rim and was in prime position to strike. Alta Revelry N steadied in the pocket.
Captaincountrystar, the 9/5 betting favorite and Itsrockandroll A battled side by side reaching the three quarters in 1:24. (28.1)
Wehadababyetzaboy circled three wide at the top of the stretch and steamrolled to victory winning in 1:52.1. He paid $9.80 for the victory.

Itsrockandroll A finished 2nd and Captaincountrystar finished 3rd.
