WASHINGTON, PA, Dec. 7, 2023 — There are career debuts, and then there are big, gaudy, eye-popping splashes. The latter is what harness racing trainer Katherine Turner, 33, pulled off when she won her first career start as a trainer at The Meadows on Thursday (Dec. 7) with Southwind Pinaclda (American Ideal-Cut And Paste) at an amazing 84-1.
Turner owns the 3-year-old filly, who captured a $10,900 Conditioned Pace for driver Hunter Myers. Turner co-owns the filly with Shawnie Corey. She paid a whopping $170.20 to win.

Elsewhere on Thursday’s card:
- Wehadababyetzaboy (Sweet Lou-Camille) scorched the back half in 55.1 and had an easy time winning his fourth straight in Thursday’s feature, an $11,500 Conditioned Pace.

Once Ronnie Wrenn, Jr. gave the 4-year-old gelding a 30 second-quarter breather, the race for win was essentially over. He scored in 1:53.4, 2-1/2 lengths better than the pocket sitting Hillbillypacinhill while Tignanello was an even third.
Ron Burke trains the winner for Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi LLC, M1 Stable and Jack Piatt III.
WEHADABABYETZABOY REPLAY
