Discus Hanover (Leon Bailey) got to the quarter first in :27.2.  He uses a :30.2 second quarter to be first to the half in :57.4.  Low Inside (Dan Daley) was first to make a move going first-up around the final turn.  Discus Hanover led to three quarters in 1:26.3.

As they reached the stretch second place finisher Zapaca (Frank Affrunti) came all out after third place finisher Discus Hanover.  What A Mission ($16,48) came from out of the clouds like he was shot out of a cannon.  He went on by to win in 1:55.4.

What A Mission is a 5-year-old gelding by What The Hill.  He is owned by Michael Miller and trained by Hannah Miller.  It was his fourth win this season.  He now has 10 career victories.

WHAT A MISSION REPLAY

Chris Long had a driving hat trick.  Josh Kinney had a driving-training double.  Dylan Huckabone-Miller and Brad Irvine had driving doubles.

Vernon Downs returns to live racing on Saturday (September 27) with a post time of 3:00 p.m.
