CHESTER PA – Wild Bill Kelso was very sharp in his 2023 harness racing debut on Wednesday afternoon (May 17) at Harrah’s Philadelphia, taking the $14,400 featured trot and earning a new race mark of 1:55.3.
Scott Zeron reserved the sophomore Crazy Wow gelding off the :28.4 quarter, then moved coming off that bend to make the lead in front of the stands. Midfractions of :57.1 and 1:26 were posted with little apparent effort by the Jim Campbell trainee, and he reached the wire 3¼ lengths ahead of the closing Chezactic to raise his lifetime bankroll to $102,077 for Runthetable Stables.
